Happy New Year!
Where did 2025 go? It was a fun and productive year for me, art-wise. I was grateful for the support and encouragement of my Stunning Wife and all my friends at the Iron Down Sculpture Studio. I’m grateful for the many kind and constructive comments I’ve received from members of the public who took time to talk to me during our studio exhibitions at Iron Down and Holly Tree Hall, Deddington, and I’m especially grateful to those of you who have purchased paintings or cards from me.
This year is starting with an exciting new thingy for me - displaying some of my paintings in Exeter Hall, Kidlington in a “cabinet residency”. Exeter Hall is a community building hosting the local information centre as well as a multitude of different activities, including Megaslam wrestling (coming in March). Don’t worry, you won’t need to put on your wrestling trunks or body oil to enjoy the paintings, which include some of my acrylic landscapes, as well as a couple of pet portraits. Also featuring some fabulous work by local artist Chally Spokes (see her work here….link opens in a new tab), the display is going to be running throughout January and February. You can’t buy paintings directly from the Hall, but if you are interested in purchasing any of my work, please contact me.
It’s also been great to get back to the studio to do some painting after such a long break. Art is very much about community and I have missed the friendly vibe from my fellow creatives.
Here’s wishing you all a happy and productive 2026!
